Fort Lauderdale is packed with amazing restaurants, but if you are looking for a unique, plant-based, dining experience then a visit to Sublime Restaurant & Bar is a must.
Sublime was created by animal lover Nanci Alexander. In 1989, Nanci founded the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida and has been the volunteer president since. In an effort to expand her efforts to fight animal cruelty and show that a plant-based diet can be delicious, she created Sublime. Sublime is 100% vegan, and 100% of the profits support animal welfare.
On a recent visit to Fort Lauderdale, I had the opportunity to visit Sublime Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant itself is large, with a clean and modern vibe. The menu had a wide variety of food such as salad, burgers, stir fry, pasta and flat bread. The friendly bartender suggested the house favorite, Frito Misto. The dish was crispy cauliflower with sweet chili sauce, it was delicious and large enough for leftovers the next day. The Chocolate Nirvana cake was the perfect end to the meal.
It is easy to understand why the restaurant has been endorsed by celebrities including Paul McCartney, Alex Baldwin, Pamela Anderson, Alicia Silverstone and Bob Barker.
